Choose Image from Android gallery to C#

Question

In my app I would like to send the user to choose a picture from their phone gallery and then retrieve the picture's properties to use later, but I cant seem to find out how to do it. The function:

private void CoverPic_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
    {
        if (playlist==null)
        {
            playlist = new Playlist();
            /// get Picture
            playlist.AddPic(picture);
        }
